Penrod Arts Fair Indianapolis, IN. (Booth Y41)

In 1967 a group of twenty two men formed The Penrod Society®. The volunteer organization was designed to support the cultural and educational activities of Indianapolis-area artists, students, and arts organizations. “Penrod” pays homage to Penrod Schoefield, a literary character from Indianapolis novelist Booth Tarkington.

The Society is an Indianapolis-based, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, whose mission is to support arts, cultural, and educational activities and institutions in Indiana.  The Society supports artists, students, arts organizations, and various other not-for-profit organizations whose missions and programming include arts, cultural, and educational activities.  At its core, the Society is a 52-year-old brotherhood of professionals who work together for the betterment of Indiana. 

Over its 52 year history, the Penrod Arts Fair® has become an Indianapolis tradition. Each year, over 20,000 fair patrons visit the Newfields campus on the first Saturday after Labor Day. The Penrod Arts Fair® showcases hundreds of artists, and offers live music, performing arts and local cuisine. Proceeds from this one-day celebration provide grants for Indianapolis-area arts and community organizations.

In addition to launching the Penrod Arts Fair, The Penrod Society® was also instrumental in creating the Economic Club of Indianapolis and the Prelude Awards.

Arts, Beats and Eats. Royal Oak, MI. (Booth #47 on Seventh St)

Oakland County’s Favorite Summer Festival Celebrating Art, Music, Cuisine & Community returns!

The 22nd Annual Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats will take place in Downtown Royal Oak. The festival offers more than 200 performances on nine stages, a highly ranked Juried Fine Arts Show, and local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in Metro-Detroit. Each year these international, regional and local festival attractions make the City of Royal Oak the premier destination for Labor Day weekend.

In 2018, over 330,000 visitors attended the festival and over $200K was raised for local charities.  Festival admission is $3 until 3pm, $5 after 3pm, and $7 after 5pm on Saturday, Sunday & Monday.  Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats is free to enter until 5pm on Friday only. Admission on Friday after 5pm is $7.

Wells Street Art Fair 2019

The Wells Street Art Festival is always held on the second full weekend of June in the popular Wells Street corridor of Old Town. An estimated 50,000 people attend annually.

 

Artist Booths -- We feature over 225 juried artists from across the continent. A number of disciplines are represented -- from traditional painting and sculpture, to artisan woodworking and metalsmithing, jewelcraft, the digital arts and more.

 

Entertainment -- The Wells Street Art Festival has a dedicated performance stage in the rear lot of O'Briens Restaurant (1528 N. Wells). Local music, performance artists and cover/tribute bands are featured here throughout the weekend.

 

Childrens' Play Area -- Each year, we strive to create a fun, interactive space for your kids where they can do arts & craft, participate in a performance, or just goof off! The children's play area is located at the corner of Wells Street and Evergreen Street.

 

Food and Drink -- The festival features 20+ food and drink vendors selling a varied assortment of tasty treats. With so many amazing Old Town restaurants participating, you may just want to try something from all of them!

Summerfair Cincinnati 2019

For over 50 years, Summerfair Cincinnati has been supporting and promoting artists and the arts in Greater Cincinnati. Through the organization’s annual three day fine arts fair enough funds are raised to support awards, scholarships and exhibitions. With it’s many members and one employee a years worth of giving, promoting and having fun is accomplished.

The effectiveness of Summerfair Cincinnati’s activities has earned the organization regional and national recognition including: Greater Cincinnati Convention & Visitors Bureau Outstanding Service Award, Southwestern Ohio Art Education Award for Distinguished Organization, American Marketing Association Community Impact Award, the National Association of Independent Artists Artists’ Choice Award, and the Post-Corbett Award of Excellence.
